Hours: 40 per week

Typical Week:  Monday – Friday.  8:30 – 4:30

Job Description:

Riverlands is an award-winning production brewery, with an attractive and vibrant taproom, that is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Brewer/Cellerman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about craft beer, eager to learn and ready to take on the physical demands of the brewing process.

 

Responsibilities to be shared with Head Brewer:

- Assist with all aspects of the brewing process from generating wort through fermentation and packaging.

- Operate and maintain our 10 BBL Brewhouse.

- Clean and sanitize Fermentation Vessels, Brite Tanks and Cooperage.

- Transfer and carbonate brite beer, yeast management, harvesting, dry hopping.

- Assist in the packaging of beer, including kegging, bottling, and canning.

- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the production area.

- Follow all safety protocols and quality control measures.

- Assist Head Brewer with cellar organization and inventory management.

- Support taproom special events and activities.

- Contribute to a positive team environment and support Riverlands culture.

 

Requirements and ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES and FUNCTIONS to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation:

- Ability to lift 50lbs overhead, and the ability to be on your feet 8 hours a day.

- Strong interest in craft beer and the brewing process.

- Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions.

- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work closely with Head Brewer.

- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. 

- Ability to multitask and set priorities.

- Previous experience in a brewery or related field is a plus but not required.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends (if needed).
