Packaging Assistant

ERIS Brewery and Cider House is hiring a part-time canning line Packaging team member here in Chicago. This is a great introduction to working in the beverage industry and seeing how all the different departments come together. The Packaging Assistant helps get our tasty cider into its final product form for the public to enjoy, whether it be a cold can of Pedestrian or a keg of Van Van Mojo at your favorite bar. This role handles the final steps before our ciders are shipped out to our trusted distribution partners.

SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION, LOCATION

     • Second shift runs from 5 pm-11 pm, with possible added hours for an estimated 12-16 hours/week.
     • Schedule is Mondays and Tuesdays, subject to change.
     • The pay for this role is $17/hr.

ERIS is a 1 ½ block walk from the CTA Blue Line Irving Park station. CTA Bus Route #80 Irving Park bus stops right out front at Irving Park & Tripp Westbound ID: 5713, Eastbound ID: 5635.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

    • NO experience necessary, we are happy to train you.
    • Our Liquids Team is punctual while working under pressure to meet shipping deadlines.
    • High standard for quality, attention to detail, and cleanliness is a must.
    • Able to remain on your feet for 7–9 hours.
    • We provide paid breaks, but the majority of your time will be standing and lifting.
    • Must be able to lift or maneuver 50 lbs. throughout your shift.
    • An aptitude for troubleshooting basic mechanical systems will help you out immensely in this role.
    • If you have experience in the beverage or food industry with items such as fillers, labelers, packers, and sealers, then that's a plus!
